We believe that all God's children are instructed to give and help those in need.  We don't believe that the tithing system taught in the Old Testament is applicable today.  We are living under the new covenant.  Let the Holy Spirit lead you and give as you are led.  We promise that every penny is accounted for and will be spent wisely to honor God, edify His church, reach the lost and train up disciples of Christ.

We are not against a pastor or ministry leaders earning a salary.  We are against those in positions of authority that live extremely comfortable lives from those that sacrificially give.  At Christ Discipleship Ministries, all members serve for free.  It is our commitment to glorify God on this earth and store up our treasures in heaven.

2 Corinthians 9:6-8  But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.  So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.  And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

1 Timothy 6:17-19  Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to set their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy.  Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.

Luke 22:33-34  "Sell your possessions and give to charity; make yourselves money belts that do not wear out, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven, where no thief comes near nor does a moth destroy.  For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

Mark 12:41-44  And Jesus sat down opposite the treasury, and began watching how the people were putting money into the treasurey; and many rich people were putting in large amounts.  And a poor widow came and put in two coins which amount to a cent.  Calling His disciples to Him, He said to them, "Truly I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all the contributors to the treasurey;  for they all put in out of their surplus, but she, out of her poverty, put in all she owned, all she had to live on"

Acts 2:44-45  And all the believers were together and had all things in common; and they would sell their property and possessions and share them with all, to the extent that anyone had need.
